Therapy for Adult Children of Immigrants

online in Los Angeles & across California

Helping you heal, show up for yourself, and break free from the cycles that hold you back.

You don’t know a reality outside of putting yourself last.

Does this sound familiar?

You work so hard, juggling countless expectations and roles – parent, CEO, head of household, or all of the above.

You run yourself ragged, yet slowing down feels impossible. It’s how you saw your parents operate, so this level of exhaustion just feels...normal.

Despite all your accomplishments, you don’t really believe in yourself.

You know you deserve love, but deep down, you feel unworthy.

The financial pressures of living in a major city – the lifestyle, the mortgage – leave no room for taking a break. And when you do step away for a bit, you worry about losing it all.

Anxiety, nervousness, and overwhelm have become your baseline.

Because work consumes your life, you have no time to process your emotions.

And yet… you’ve noticed that something doesn’t feel right.

You don’t remember much of your childhood… though you do recall times when your parents lost their temper.

You didn’t get hugs or ’I love yous’ as a kid. Feelings weren’t something you talked about.

You saw your parents trying to fit into American life. Quietly, you struggled, too.

You were told to keep your head down and work hard.

School was your whole world, the only way to prove you were worth something.

And even when you did well, it wasn’t enough. Success was expected, but not celebrated.

Therapy can help, and I’m here to support you.

As an adult, you still hold back around your parents, afraid of their judgment. You’re always trying to live up to their standards, even now.

Meanwhile, you find yourself in one bad relationship after another – doubting your worth, letting people walk all over you.

At your corporate job, you’re constantly trying to make everyone happy. You obsess over being perfect.

The constant pressure of work, family, and personal life is crushing you.

It’s time to stop putting yourself last…

…and start honoring your needs and desires.

Let’s work together to take care of you.

You might feel like you’re running on a hamster wheel, trying to keep up with all the expectations and pressures of life.

I’ll help you learn how to step off that wheel and decide what race you’re actually running – so you’re not just going fast, but in the right direction.

Imagine if you could…

  • give yourself the compassion and respect that you deserve

  • learn to draw boundaries for the first time (even if your parents don’t understand what boundaries are)

  • listen to your needs without bargaining with yourself

  • actually make time for yourself with a self-care plan that works, instead of frantically cramming 3 things in 1 hour

  • let yourself enjoy life, without feeling guilty about it

… and heal and break cycles of intergenerational trauma in the process.

Let’s make this happen for you.

Therapy can help you with…

  • stress

  • burnout

  • imposter syndrome

  • self-doubt

  • generational trauma

  • complex PTSD

  • grief

  • managing cultural expectations

  • setting boundaries

When we work together, you’ll get someone in your corner.

I’ll be your cheerleader, celebrating you so you can learn to do this for yourself.

I’ll be mindful and direct, speaking truths in a way that helps you grow.

In our sessions, you’ll learn new things about yourself… and you’ll unlearn the habits and beliefs that don’t serve you anymore.

I’ll help you heal, grow, and show up for yourself and your needs… and keep this momentum going in your daily life.

WHY IS THERAPY IMPORTANT?

Therapy is a maintenance for your mind on a weekly basis.

It’s natural to experience stress and anxiety in our daily lives. This is a space where you can process those emotions and feel fully supported.

Think of it like maintaining a car. You wouldn’t expect it to run forever without oil changes and gas. Similarly, your mind needs regular tune-ups to keep it going and make sure you’re moving in the direction you want.
